Here's a good little find for you all. My lady friend works for the state library system and she happened across these one day in her desk. She brought one home and I immediately knew what it was. Thought I would share, I am sure a few of you know what these are, but for those that don't. I'd love to see your guesses :D

Hi there, thanks for the reply! This is definitely along the lines of what I was looking for, but it does look pretty advanced. I looked online but I couldn't find a good tutorial, it would be helpful if someone could help me come up with a quick command to batch create mp3 samples out of a directory of mp3s. That would be gold!:D
There is a "sox-users" mailing list. It would be good to subscribe to that. Then try a few things and describe your attempts on that list. But don't ask "how to" until you can tell them what you've already read and what you've tried otherwise you will only get replies pointing you to the user level documentation.
sox is a very simple command line program. You give it a command and a file and it writes the result to standard output where typically you'd pipe it to a file. To batch process and entire directory you'd place a sox command or several commands inside a foreach loop in a shell script. In your case you process a track first with a trim then the fade-in and then pie to a file. Get that to work them put a foreach loop around it

I have to agree with Cabbit here, if you hope to have successful business with a successful website you need to step away from iWeb. HTML and CSS are relatively simple to pick up and with HTML5 and CSS3 giving you more options then ever before.
To answer your query, you're going to need jQuery to get the results you require. If learning the skills you need isn't an option, then get someone in to create something - chances are if iWeb has met most of your needs to this point then a web designer should be able to create/code something for you in a few days.

You can try booting from a Linux live disk like ubuntu to see if you are able to get a working desktop. You can also use this to check the hard disk and memory.

Yep, you are definitely on the worst version! 4.3.2 has been awesome for me, just about to upgrade to 4.3.3 and don't expect any problems

Really want the new Macbook Pro, but I can't quite afford it at the moment. I know Apple include several smaller refreshes under the radar between major updates like the current one, but I'm not quite sure how far apart they come.
Also, at the moment they have the boring printer offer when you buy a system, anyone know how often the free iPod offers come around instead?
Cheers!

How safe it is to install Apps on MBP downloaded from a torrent website? I mean can I download iWork or Photoshop for example without having problems with Apple and Adobe?
No, it's not safe due to trojans installed in pirated software. Also, we don't discuss software piracy on this site.

The car kit is completely unnecessary for the iPhone4 .... i have used one or another GPS app since iPhone4 launched and its maybe struggled to maintain a GPS lock once or twice but thats no worse than my Garmin used to get anyway.
The car-kit app is so you can monitor the GPS signal strength, so its just a simple companion app.

just curious but are the anitglare screen protectors from the apple store compatible with the pixelskin hd? I want the pixelskin HD but i love this screen protector and have heard that the case can lift up the screen protector and screw it up.
Yes, all screensavers work with the pixelskin HD. A friend of mine has one with the Power Support anti glare and I have one with the SGP anti-fingerprint. They both work.

I think I would like the other one since this G3 pro keyboard is sticking a bit. Would $20 shipped to 15212 work?

If you're using it on Tmobile USA or any of its prepaid companies you have to turn off 3G in settings so your signal doesnt drop and flunctuate.

so when it worked was just a fluke? :(
Is there any way to get it fixed for cheap? I wanted to give this phone to my sis overseas.
You can try finding an iPhone repair shop and have them take a look at it. There's plenty places online you can send it to or maybe some local.

It's an official, retail Windows disc.
I bought Win 7 on-line and downloaded it, then wrote a DVD with the iso.
But they then sent a 'Backup Disc' in the post, so I've been using that.
Actually they sent two discs, a 32 bit and a 64 bit. I've tried both.
The thought has just crossed my mind that maybe their Backup Disc is just the data, and needs to be copied to another DVD and made bootable?
There's no info with the discs.

My mic is an Apex 435. I plug it into my m-audio fast track interface and that connects to my computer via usb connection.

Has this been independently verified? Sounds like a bug to me. I have the same performance on both ports of my MBP.

Hi, my company is currently developing an app that will help you save money on car insurance tolls, and more! Here's how it works.
Our app monitors cell phone activity while the app is in use. It also monitors to see if you are actually driving or not. This information is sent to our databases. We plan to create a database of proven safe drivers in regards to cell phone use . This means they were not doing anything distracting on their phone's like texting while driving.
We then plan to trade the information stored in our databases about the proven safe drivers for rewards. We plan to work closely with car insurance companies to try and get you a discount on car insurance. Additionally we plan to use grant money from government programs that help keep our roadways safe for distributing EZ pass credits to the proven safe drivers.
Finally, we are going to allow anyone to donate though our website and donated items will be given out randomly to safe drivers who show up in our databases. This way anyone can participate who is against texting while driving and wants to help keep our roadways safe for everyone.
For more information please visit www.DriveAliveApp.com or contact me directly at DriveAliveApp@Gmail.com
We hope to have the app ready for android in the next 6 months, and a demo in less.
If you would like to help please send the link to everyone and tell your friends about it and please donate if you can. All donations will be used to help speed up development, will help to save lives, and are greatly appreciated. . Also please like us on Facebook, and twitter. Thank you.

Basically PET is PET, the difference is, how it's packaged and cut. I ordered one off eBay (screenguard brand) and it is fine but doesn't lie down properly around the earpiece or home button.
Now, assume I won't spend the better part of $20 for a small ag screen...anyone know of a reputable site for unbranded or generically branded PET screens that work? Mono price any good for 'em? I already get cables etc three, but never tried their ag screen...though a review said it didn't stick correctly around the edges.
Alternately, any tips for getting the trouble spots to stay down? Is not dust..just..doesn't stay.
Thanks all! I'm trying to find alternatives to the third party companies rebranding inexpensive stuff and marking it up 500%.
