What did you mean by nope? All I said is that when he's doing his demos that he's been using the ATI9700. Also what do you mean that they wish they would switch to RDRam or at least DDR? DDR400 due out by early next year shows a significant advantage over the fastest RDRam which is technically maxed at the moment. Not to mention the insane licensing fees that RDRam has.

Hey all.
I use the TextNow app which is great and allows me to not have a message plan. However there is no way to disable the lockscreen preview as per the standard apple SMS app. This poses a bit of a privacy issue particularly at work where I do not want my family texts to be seen by others.
Is there a hack to disable TextNow preview on lockscreen? Anybother thoughts by all here to help?
Thanks in advance.

I bet with the grain, this would be amazing (equally) as a B&W.
I took a quick look using Preview. There is enough texture and shape that it looks passable in B&W, but the color really makes the photo. The composition just seems a bit off for B&W - too centered and not enough negative space, maybe. Not a professional either, but I used to shoot almost everything in B&W.
It is a really good shot, Joseph.

I'm really bad at guessing. 75-100 people? Maybe a little less.
How's it doing now? Still growing?

I guess the question is what would they get out of it, maybe google but apple gets nothing out of it the information would not be that valuable to apple and the pr is a nightmare. that is not to say that they may not be doing something that of course we know but considering the fanfare around apple products its not like any of this will not be found out after some time.
to me this I think is going to be taken care in the next revision but it is nice to know there are people out there keeping an eye for stuff like this. :)

The videos that work are SD (720x480 or close to that), the ones that won't work are HD (720p 1280x720). Commercial PC's are often not purchased with the graphics hardware necessary to run HD video, and that's probably the problem.

I use Photoshop Elements 2.0. Got it for ~$35 off Ebay. I use it to make wallpapers for cell phones and computer. Very easy to crop and cut, resize, color change, add text, combine photos. 3.0 is out now and is probably better.

I'm not sure whether you have had internet access work previously at your work or not.
Have you checked which ports are active in your Network preferences? Disable all ports apart from ethernet for your ethernet set-up.
OSX networking will try and use all ports you have activated.
Are your TCP/IP settings for your ethernet port setup according to your work's network administrator's instruction?. If so, how do you test if your ethernet works? Have you tried pinging a machine on your local network?
If you can ping, local machines, try pinging an external domain eg www.apple.com?

well it's really easy to launch it from inside the terminal. after starting terminal, you have to get inside the folder that had the fah6 file. you can get there by typing "cd" and then drag and drop the folder into terminal and press enter.
once in the folder, all you have to type is "./fah6" to start. but you can also add parameters with that command.
ok cheers. that seems very easy even for a command line n00bie like me ;)

I agree getting to know CSS is the best way to go. And Wordpress widgets are just a nightmare.
Assume you mean Plugins? Actually you can do a lot with them, and if you know PHP you can even combine them to do stuff you want.
You don't really need to know that much PHP because you can basically find a Plugin to do whatever you want and then use CSS to style it.
The WordPress.org forums are great as are any on the sites that you download your themes from.

I think conventional wisdom says there will be a MP update this year to give the entire line TB. (Toss up if the Mac Mini and MB will survive, but isn't that always the case). I know the SNB Xeons Apple will likely use for the next MP won't be out until later this year, but I have to wonder if Intel might give Apple early dibs b/c of it's partnership with Apple on TB. It would be pretty sweet if a TB MP was announced at WWDC along with a new TB monitor, FCS, and 10.7.

I wanna preface this by informing everyone that I despise Kobe Bryant.
However, I think the term he used has become such a commonplace derogatory name that to call it anti-gay is hardly appropriate anymore.
Looking for everyone's thoughts on the event.

iOS 4 on the iPhone 3G absolutely kills it. Everything becomes incredibly slow. Apple should never have let the iPhone 3G get the 4.0 update..
Come on ... Apple got shunned for not allowing the iPhone 3G to get multitasking. If they hadn't updated it all, they would have been criticized to pieces.

Look how well it runs solitare and wordpad! No noticable delay! At 1.4 ghz! For only $23. I'll believe it when someone purchases it and shows us it actually works. CherryOS anyone?

I have my own domain and hosting plan. I'm looking to add is some sort of easy to use, online file browser where I can store some stuff I'd like to have access to elsewhere.
Requirements:
I don't want to have to FTP into it.
I want some security built in (name/password, etc.).
Something beautifully designed would be nice.
I'm not looking for a syncing solution like Dropbox. Just something I can host on my own site and upload to and retrieve files from. Most third-party online storage solutions are blocked by my work, so I'm looking for something I can put on my own domain.
Do you have a solution you'd recommend? Any other information I need to provide?
