PS3 Media Server (http://code.google.com/p/ps3mediaserver/) will get just about any file you can find onto your TV through the PS3. Works great.
As for games, if you want to start off slow, try some of the downloadable games from the PSN store. There is a series of games called "Pixel Junk" which are good fun. PJ Shooter and PJ Eden are both great games. I also really like "Echochrome" as well. It is very simple looking, but a good brain-bending puzzle game.
As for disc based games, well, the sky's the limit really. Shooters, Driving, Action, RPGs, you name it, there is probably a game you'll like. If you want PS3 exclusive stuff, Metal Gear Solid 4 is pretty fun, as are the 2 Uncharted games. I also really like Warhawk, which is an online shooter. Plenty of good games. I'm sure some other people will chime in with their choices as well.

As far as I know, as long as there is no profanity they will engrave it.

You can tell by the subject line that this is a very "classic" computer. :)
I recently inherited this machine from a co-worker who had it passed down to him, etc. As far as I can tell nobody has attempted to boot it. It is missing the keyboard and mouse but I thought that turning it on would at least give me some sort of error beeps, codes, unhappy face. However, when I flipped the switch all I can hear is the fans, and I believe I also hear the HD but beyond that nothing. No video is displayed (black) and I can't find any other indication of what's wrong.
I realize this is probably a lost cause but I thought I'd post here anyway in hopes that someone has an idea.
Thanks for your help.

A FireWire cable will get the job done much quicker than an Ethernet cable, though it will cost you a bit more probably. Both will definitely work, and quite well. The computer will even guide you through the process step-by-step during the Setup Assistant.

Get it while it's still there.
I don't really want to mail it, takes too long and tends to have conflicts with the size limit.

I'll leave it up there for about a week.

as katanna said, you can keep both. you can also try to change the red of the macrumors logo to the yellow/greenish hue of the speedometer and/or tha white inside to transparent (=black in the tar) and see if it will blend in better and look cleaner (i am assuming you have layers of the differents parts, so you can check quickly)

The methods mentioned are regarding DVDs, as you said. How can I apply it on a USB stick? What I need to do is a disc image and then have it on my USB stick?

- Go to the Applications folder and select iTunes
- Right click > Show Package Contents
- Open 'Contents'
- Open 'Resources'
- Find iTunes helper
- Open System Preferences and go to Accounts > select your account > Login Items
- Drag iTunes Helper from Finder to this list
Done.
Heheh, I made the same mistake as you. Trying to decipher to OP's first post, I didn't realize he mentioned that he deleted iTunesHelper from the iTunes app as well, hence my removed post. :P

Hello,
I believe that only intel based macs can be upgraded to snow leopard (10.6).
Power PC products are stuck with 10.5.

Just to clarify my title - I'm meaning official branded cases bought from websites other than the official stores( i.e. A switcheasy case bought off eBay instead of from Switchwasy.com).
I've bought countless branded cases from non-official sites and it seems that the quality of these cases is not always 100%. By this I mean, the 2 latest purchases were : a switcheasy trim that didn't seem to fit properly (it squeaked) and an SGP Linear case that also seems to squeak around the edges.
Are branded cases like this, the ones that fail the quality control at the official stores and then sold off to whoever and then these are then sold at cheaper prices at non- official stores (eBay, Amazon, etc)?
The reason I ask is because EVERY case I have ever bought in these circumstances have ALL had some kind of fitment issue?!

Hi, that's a nice idea but I have a few questions/feedback..
If I stumbled upon the site I'm not sure I would know what it was for - a more detailed explanation would be useful.
How would you "police" this? Clearly this is professionals looking for other professionals to do work. How do you propose people get paid for their work? Or is it supposed to be free?
I'm not sure the forum format is the bast way to go - how about just a "post my project" type thing? Check out somewhere like crowdSpring to get an idea of what I mean (but without the spec work)

Hi All,
I just purchased a song via the iTunes store.
It's on my iMac now but I'd like to put it on my old PC.
Is that possible?
Thanks,
Andy

Thanks for responding so quickly, belvdr.
I am (vaguely) familiar with the OSI stack, but is there no way to differentiate on level 3/4 then, e.g. IP addresses and routes?
Put differently, what is the actual impact of unchecking the "Send all traffic over VPN connection"? With reference to for instance
http://blog.liip.ch/archive/2006/01/07/changing-default-routes-on-os-x-on-vpn.html
it seems that if the VPN service is below the Ethernet service in the ordered list in Network, the default route is not through the VPN connection. Does this not mean that I should be able to add a new route, include the IP ranges which Boxee, Hulu and Vudu access, and then have de facto differentiation between applications (although it actually happens on level 3/4)?
Looking forward to your response. I am definitely on thin ice here.
