Hey, each of us knows something, but none of us know everything. Good luck on your web programming job. I'm new to the database arena, and so I'm learning new things there as well. :)

If that's the box/paperwork for the 8 Gig model, I'm interested in the whole lot and the repair box as well.

I got here about 10:30 and maybe 20/25 in line. Now looks to be about 50 in line. Several security guards are here so I am guessing that they are expecting a much bigger crowd by 5pm.

Ah yes... I remember watching "Plan 9 from Outer Space" on that curvy "screen". They projected it against the side of that building one night. By the time I moved away from Saint Louis, they ripped all the interesting stuff out of there, I heard. Got rid of the star projector and everything.
Free museums rock, and for some reason I feel much better about dropping a $10 in the donation box than paying the mandatory $4 that other museums charge.

With the hard drive going and the lack of more memory, I think you can get around $400. Maybe a little more since she has all the original accessories and box. Good luck! :apple:

I'm on a MBP 13", C2D 2,4 Ghz, 128 gb SSD.
I noticed improved boot time between SL and Lion, and since the latest DP2 update I went from ~22 sec boot to ~17 sec. Seems like this is something the boys in Cupertino takes seriously, and I like it!
I clock the time from pushing the power button until the OS is loaded and wifi has connected.
How big of a difference is you guys noticing, if any?

Does it have to be 1333mhz? what if it's 1600mhz DDR3 memory like this one .. also does it mean higher the mhz the faster the ram?

I would get the 1333mhz one. In the MacBook Pro, they use 1333 but 1600 was compatible with it. However, I would recommend sticking with a 1333mhz memory set mainly because it honestly doesn't even make a BIG deal.

How do I do that??
Use 7-zip to extract the files from the MSI (BootCamp.msi for 32 bit and BootCamp64.msi for 64 bit). Then it's very similar to the video.

I've downloaded bootcamp 3.1 for my MacBook (white 13"), but as it's an exe file it won't run. So what should I do with it please?
I'm trying to install Win 7.
I've run Bootcamp Assistant but when I get to the 'insert Windows 7 disk and hit install' the screen goes black, then light grey, and the Apple Logo/Circle crossed out/folder icon with question mark, take rapid turns in the centre screen, whilst the DVD drive runs at full speed.
Please help.

Can you connect a jailbroken ipad to xcode and configure it to be used for development?
I was thinking of doing that to get the 'hidden' gestures through x-code in 4.3 when the jail break is available.
Or is there cydia software that will do all the gestures?

Sorry the document probably needs to be reprotected to make the forms work properly, I probably left it unprotected after editing the document.
I appreciate you looking at it, if you don't mind flipping the protection back on, the form should be editable again, but the behavior is the same - you can't select individual sentences and such to copy/paste, only giant blocks of the text.

Safari doesn't have full support for embedded scrolling layers. It just won't work in Safari unless you get crafty with some Javascript.

hi,
i recently bought an ibook g4. when i am using it, from time to time i hear a slight click from the hard drive. the S.M.A.R.T status is "verified". so is the drive up to no good?
You can try that: http://mckinlay.net.nz/hdapm/ im not sure if it supports PowerPC.

Sandy Bridge CPUs officially support only 1333MHz but 1600MHz has been proven to work (not with iMacs yet though).
The HD uses SATA 3Gb/s, that is why the negotiated speed is 3Gb/s.

Two weeks of use caused this. And I'm not sliding it down the sidewalk or anything reckless like that. I set it on my desk and put it in my pocket. Sometimes my pocket has stuff like my name badge or a pen. The iPod itself is flawless but it looks aweful in this case. I think I'll be getting a new one.
Although, I did like the little stand it came with.
