There is money to be made by designing and marketing above average apps. It's not just about coding. There are several 100,000 other apps in the App store competing for visibility and customers. You've got to rise above most of them to make any money.
If you want to play around and potentially make money, play around with coding stuff that no one else is doing, or almost no one else can do or knows about to do, and create stuff that will delight customers (those are Apple's words) when they run across your marketing activities and press releases.
I started by playing around making apps for myself first, until I ended up making stuff that I thought potential customers might find unique and interesting.

I just got my refurbished imac. I wasn't aware that there was something called migration assistant and I'm still not sure exactly how it works. I do have a Macbook Pro and it would be great if I could move everything to my desktop. Since I don't have a firewire cable, i will have to get it tomorrow. Before I try this, though, I wanted to make sure I understand it (and I apologize in advance if this is a really dense question but I am not very technical savvy).
Will the migration assistant basically move everything from my macbook to my desktop? I'm talking software like Adobe CS5 and MS Office along with files?
Any information is appreciated.
Yes it will move everything.
If you have a network cable you can run between the two computers and will be faster than FireWire. You can change the method from FireWire to network.
I used this method to move everything from my 2008 iMac and worked perfectly.

Walked up at 9:45, less than 10 people in line. They had 64GB wifi both colors, sounded like they had many others. Let's just say I didn't see anyone in line walk away disappointed. They said the last couple days have been really good for shipments

Fiscally, he sounds to the Left of almost anyone I can think of.
And yet you say the Republicans embrace him??
Something is wrong with this picture. ;)

I was there for the 3GS launch too and can definitely confirm coffee and helpful chatty staff.
Would be doing it this time but I'm playing the TNT tracking game.

Here's my suggestion -
Riser A
DIMM 1: 4GB
DIMM 2: 2GB
DIMM 3: 1GB
DIMM 4:
RISER B:
DIMM 1: 4GB
DIMM 2: 2GB
DIMM 3: 1GB
DIMM 4:
You can't do that as they have to be installed in pairs.
The optimum configuration is A:4,4,0,0 B:2,2,1,1 as this places more equal amounts of memory on each riser.

MDN needs to fix their formatting in Safari, though, it appears all wide. The long link in Aryugaetu's post futzes-up the formatting in Safari, OmniWeb 5, Camino, and Firefox.

they will not allow me to upload the file in any larger than two mb chunks.
That's insanely small. Don't take this the wrong way but I'd consider a different hosting provider.
Are you sure it's 2Mb and not 2Gb?

Apple store. It seems though that Apple stores and targets get shipments in on Wednesday or Tuesday night. That seems to be consistent with all of the apple stores and targets around these parts.

So, there's definitely something wrong with me. ;) I would like another iPhone to jailbreak, unlock, and just all around treat badly (e.g., take it with me while snowboarding, hiking, and whatnot). Apparently, I have become so used to my iPhone that I cant bear to use the old Nokia 6620 I reserved for such activities - the buttons simply confuse me and the interface makes no sense whatsoever. :D I just sold another smartphone I had and would pay up to $200 to someone who wants to sell their iPhone. At this price, my market will probably be 4GB iPhones that may not be in good shape cosmetically. I don't care if it's scratched, but it must be fully functional (said Data to Tasha Yar). I dont need the box and all of the original accessories, but at least the dock, cable, and AC charger would be nice. Firmware status doesnt matter - Ill just be using ZiPhone to jailbreak and unlock it (iPhones that are already unlocked hold no extra value for me, so I'm not paying more for that).
Will pay via PayPal (instant payment, not credit card) and I have a confirmed address. PM me with information about the condition of your iPhone and your asking price.

thank you romad7,
is that app available in all countries and how much does it cost?
I'm gonna be using ipad just for simple tasks in cpanel; horde email, simple coding like you said. so with that app this will work fine?
i'm really stuck between delicious decisions =)

Are you sure it was a woman and not the lady-like voice of Jeff Buckley (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y8AWFf7EAc4)?

This is likely why you can access it from home.
Here are the actual HE discount for the iMac and AppleCare
Enjoy.
EDIT: No worries.

They might release 10.5.2 when the Air is available for shipping, but for the demo, they probably installed a driver exclusive for the Air.

A man in a dark suit will approach you under the clock at the station. He will ask you whether the fish are jumping, you will reply that there are elephants in the cheesecake. No more will be said, you will receive word three to five working days later.

I have to use the Lumix DMC-FX75 for a work web project. I stupidly selected the AVCHD option instead of MJPEG thinking 'Ooh fancy HD feature' before realizing it's a nightmare on my imac (just bought maybe 6 months ago)
I'm not so well versed in video editing as it is and have tried to upload the video files on a mac & pc with no luck. From reading some threads here I've found that it can be done through imovie 09.
How can I upload the video files from the memory card into imovie so I can edit the footage? (where are they? What is their file extension?)
I'm a total novice so I would appreciate the help desperately!

This evening, exactly the same thing happened to my iP90 iHome. It still charges the iPod, but otherwise appears dead.

There are a few things that will determine the speed.
Type of cable, are you using at least a Cat 5e or Cat 6 cable? Have you tried swapping with another cable connected to a device that is connecting at gigabit?
Settings on the Mac, have you checked to see that its set to automatic?
What is it connecting to? A gigabit port or something different?
Have tried the above, with another machine which does connect at 1000 using the same cables and same location in the house and its works fine...
all router ports are 10/100/1000
I think i have narrowed this down to an issue with the mac its self. Im not to clued up on mac os fine configuration, and have not been able to find anywhere to force or change the link speed.... Please correct me if im wrong...

This one is the top-rated silicone case for the iPhone 4. it's really thin, isnt too grippy but provides enough grip so it doesnt feel slippery without collecting lint, has good impact protection including the front due to a lip around the screen, and comes in multiple colors and designs.
