Why does it take a media storm for Apple to open up on an issue ? It would be so much better if they more forthcoming and frank before an issue snowballs.
Why should they talk out of their butts without getting a clear picture about what is going on.
Obviously they immediately started gathering the facts.
Had they released a statement like: "We are looking into it!" the media would still not have been satisfied. They like blood and frenzy. The more half truth and the more lack of facts the better . Can we scare people? GREAT!!
May I suggest to be worried about the health effects of "negativitis" for yourself instead of what Apple is doing or not doing.

Now I suspect that Congress will want to bring non-carriers under their wing as well.

It's time to look into ALL OS's, mobile and stationary, to see how much data is collected. Not just apple. Let's see how wide spread this really is. I don't use a iPhone, but do own a EVO. At least under android, your told what app has access to before downloading. Since I'm using an iPad, 1st gen, am presuming it's the same as the iPhone for getting apps, doesn't state what a program has access to. Would be a nice feature.

well here is the damage.
I cant get the old paste off the gpu as its baked on hard! I've managed to clean the heatsink of the remnants though.
Will applying a layer to the the GPU be enough? Will the remaining contact area of new paste be effective or is it FUBAR?
Rubbing alcohol (isopropyl) and qtips can't get more of the paste off? I've read about people using a razor blade before to scrape it off, or use acetone, or even a hair dryer. You might wait for someone with actual experience removing the old stubborn stuff to post a reply, I'm just repeating what I've read elsewhere.

I wonder how difficult it would be find an individual with the talents needed both on the Software Engineering side & the GIS (Geographic Information Systems) side. Most GIS education these days doesn't really focus on programming. Infact, most GIS "programs" are just crash courses on how to operate ESRI products.

Ha ha! I work with ESRI on ARC integration...Alot of schools are actually providing geospatial related degrees (be it analysis or as a concentration under CS). That said, Id rather the HW improve to have better position referencing.

Your country has just destroyed two other nations and caused the deaths of in the region of a million people, including 4,000 US soldiers, and more or less bankrupted itself, all for what, 3,000 dead, in a search for one man? Is that retribution, or is it lunacy? How many more people now want retribution on the USA?
You're over play that part, I agree generally with what you are saying(although the million estimate is on the higher end, its not without sources) but America had NOT bankrupted itself, it just needs to cut spending, a lot.
But thats not all because of 9/11, we just did balance the budget well overall, both on spending at home and spending internationally.

Other free plugins might also have it, but Saft is so good I never bothered to check anything else.
SAFT is a rockstar. I can't imagine using Safari without it. Frankly, I'd be happy if Apple integrates even half of what SAFT provides.

Sorry if its been posted, i couldn't find it. so i have an old Digital audio powermac g4 and for some reason it wont boot to the os, it makes a loud beep (not the startup chime) the fans spin up and the hard drive spins, however if you plug a screen into the computer the screen goes into sleep mode. the power light just blinks on and off too, like once every second. Im dont know what is wrong with it.
