Wouldn't it be easier to wrap the command in a bash script and do an rexec to execute it remotely?

Anyone using a MIDI interface? im looking at the M-Audio ones on the apple store
I've been using Logic Pro 8 since it was released with an M-Audio USB Fast Track. I also bought an M-Audio Keystation 88. The keyboard feels good and I haven't had any problems with it. The Fast Track sounds decent enough. Latency isn't too bad when Logic Pro is set to low-latency mode.

As I said, you need to be explicit about what it is you have and the result you want. For instance...
I have a dictionary that I'd like to use with a UIPickerView to select two values from and display in two UILabels in my app. The dictionary key is a string to be displayed in the first component of the picker. The dictionary value for each key is an array of strings. When the left component changes, I'd like the second component to reflect the appropriate values for the key. Finally, I'd like to use the selected values with my labels.
And yes, current code sample can help and is often asked for because it can make clearer what problem a person is having. When you supply code, wrap it in the CODE tags.

Are they some of these? (http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?cgiurl=http%3A%2F%2Fcgi.ebay.com%2Fws%2F&krd=1&from=R8&MfcISAPICommand=GetResult&ht=1&SortProperty=MetaEndSort&query=PowerBook+17) Some of those bids seem rediculously low for someone to be selling them...:(

What's your point? The legality of jb has already been established.
To sue someone, you have to know who they are so you can serve them. What's Apple going to do, sue comex? chpwn? Apple doesn't know who they are. Sony knew who geohot was because he's an attention whore.
His point is that it doesn't matter who is right and who is wrong, or what is or isn't legal. What matters is who can maintain a long strung-out legal battle (Sony) and who can't (the average person).
I expect George hasn't made efforts to hide his identity for two reasons:
1) He's not doing anything illegal, so why should he have to hide
2) "Hiding" is largely futile anyway. I expect the FBI probably already know who comex and chpwn are.
Possibly a 3rd and 4th reason:
3) He likes to take a stand for things that he believes in. That's hard to do if you're anonymous
4) He's an attention whore

Have one what? A MacBook? or a bag? Well yea I could definitely recommend both :)
For the MacBook, what are you planning on doing with it? If you are doing things like watching videos, word processing, maybe a little picture editing (nothing serious) and web browsing, then any MacBook will get the job done.
The MacBook Airs are the smallest and lightest and the lowest spec'd overall, however they do have SSD drives (which I'm sure you can get in certain models of other Macs) but they fare pretty well with average day to day activities.
Since you dont' really have a computer at all though, I would suggest a macbook pro; they all have great specs and whatnot, and the reason that I didn't suggest a macbook is because an update to the line should be coming around the corner any time now.
For a laptop bag? Incase has some pretty good ones.... I like that overall look that they have; if you're into video games and know what MLG (Major League Gaming) is, Astro Gaming has a couple that are great quality; going to get one from them at the start of the summer.

HDMI is basically DVI + Audio. VGA can't compare nor can component when it comes to bandwidth.

Hi guys, wanted to see what people's thoughts are on the iPad 2 Launch in Solihull and if anyone had any news or info.
Far as I'm concerned I'll be there, from previous launches people turned up and queued around 5.30/6 in the morning, from info I got from Touchwood security, on 25th they will be opening the Poplar Entrance (near John Lewis) before any other door due to the problems with too many open at the same time, which in turn caused too much chaos at previous launches.car park queuers will be led to the back of the main entrance line to keep order so personally would be just easier to walk round to secure your space and avoid disappointment.
As normal touchwood don't tend to give much away so I was lucky to get any info at all but it sounded fairly well thoughtout to stop any apple madness happening.
If your going, good luck and share any info as I have and we can all hopefully enjoy a nice new iPad 2 come Friday.

I'd say the $1999 model with the i7 3.4GHz upgrade is enough. Purchase RAM from a third party like OWC (http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/memory/iMac/2011/DDR3_21.5_27), $50 for 2x2GB, $100 for 2x4GB. You could do the latter and end up with 12GB in your system and that should be plenty. I don't think you'll in anyway need 2GB of VRAM.
(I'm assuming Pro Tools has no problem with hyper-threading in the i7)
I'll have to check into Pro Tools, including whether I can transfer my Windows license to Mac, which I doubt - so I may end up going with Logic.
Excellent suggestion on the RAM - that must mean it has 4 slots, need to install in pairs and I don't waste what ships with the machine? And the i7 sounds like a good choice too.
Thanks for the advice!

I'm going to be buying this iMac, with a HD and SSD together. However, am a bit confused on how the HD and SSD works together:
1) Do they appear as one drive in the finder?
2) If you download an app, then install it; will the downloaded *zip* (saved in "Downloads") be stored in the HD, and the app installed on the SSD (obviously saved in "Applications"), automatically?

I have a game plan.
The KoP Apple Store is closest to my work- so when I get out tomorrow (hopefully before 3 PM, the earliest I can kick out is like 1:30 I think) I am going to check these forums and see how the lines are looking from people that are posting. If KoP is totally swamped and Ardmore is looking more promising, I'll head down that way.
If both stores are getting slammed, I'll drive back home to Exton and hit up the Target and Walmart... if those two fail I'll head to the Best Buy in Downingtown instead.
If all fails I'll try to order online. So from me, showing up at Ardmore is a maybe ;P

Ok, I know it's just a wee niggle and I knew that there would be some bashing but it's fairly annoying to see 10-15 posts that are clearly attention-seeking. I'm just saying it's a bit immature to write a post with a title that has so many question marks. Also, the type of thread that has a title like that is likely to be short, pointless and uninformative. I know I'm stereotyping here, but what I'm trying to say is: the thread title normally is just a drop of water that, when you open the thread, turns into a flood.
