Well, it has nothing to do with the fact that this particular method has a selector as a parameter, it has to do with the fact that the sort code needed to perform four comparisons between elements of the array. There are functions ike qsort which takes a function pointer, or qsort_b which takes a block parameter; they would call their comparison code four times with this data just as sortUsingSelector.
Let's play a game. I have four different numbers a, b, c and d. You have to sort them, but I don't tell you what the values are. If you ask me which of two numbers (for example a and d) is the smaller one, I will tell you. How many questions do you have to ask?

All you have to do is install it and run, thats literally it. Its the easiest program in the world to use. Just fire up your PS3 from there and find your mac under video on your ps3 and find where you stored your video files on the mac and run them. It takes like 10 seconds.

I really want to get rid of this. Price lowered to $25. That's $100 less than I bought it for.

I was watching the 'keynote' Bill Gates gave yesterday and one of his lackies demoed something similar to time machine where you can go back to an older version of a document and he says.. "It's better than going back in Time"... uh, not. There was no way to see different versions of the document and what about documents that are no longer there at all? Not!. M$ is a cheap immitation. Try again MS

I'm trying to write an Applescript, but I'm not quire sure how to do it. Basically, there's a web page that I want to keep checking on. It's not live yet, and I want to find out when it's up.
The tricky part is that the webpage redirects if it isn't up yet, so I can't simply reload the page. I want the Applescript to go to the webpage, check to see if it got redirected somewhere else, and if so, load it again. So I need to check to see what page it's currently at, and that's what I can't figure out.

Honestly, it looks like a really ugly post-processed depth-of-field effect. Probably just did gaussian blur instead of lens blur. Then they masked out (or masked in) the parts they wanted in focus.

The only thing I would suggest is to add some sort of variation to the velocities of the tweets beyond your sliders. Maybe the tweets could be weighted based on how many times they've been retweeted; the more retweets, the louder the sound produced.
Great work!

I waited at West County for Tiger and never got any freebies :(
I'll be there, but I am undecided as to which store to wait at, but I definitely have to have a shirt. I got a shirt from the Galleria opening so I want one from this as well to go with my collection :)
I'll probably hit the West County mall as there is better chance to get a shirt since it is a bigger store and all. Still unsure of what time to show up.

That's kind of what's happening, no? In this case, the driver is picking up the details through Software Update hitting the Apple config website.
Not quite. I was proposing something more automatic, without users having to respond to prompts and wait for installers to run.
I know that some people want precise control over what gets installed, but these kinds of trivial updates seem like bother we could do without. Imagine if you launched iTunes, clicked iTunes Store, and it said "The list of top weekly hits is out of date. Click here to install an iTunes update". That would be awful! Instead, we expect it to fetch the latest data automatically, so I wondered if O.S. updates for camera data and printer drivers could be handled that way too.

I've eventually jailbroken my iPad, and I really want to make the most of its capabilities.
Do you guys recommend any customizations or alterations which really enhances the iPad experience?
It would be nice to know what version iOS you are running, as not all version supported by all apps...
I like infinidock, and infiniboard, and freesync myself....

OSX shields you from getting into some of the nuts and bolts of things. This can be good or bad depending on whether you like to delve into such stuff.
I disagree with this. I delve plenty in to OS X. I know exactly what the OP is talking about, but believe me, it's not just him.
Microsoft has taken a liking to randomly re-arranging their GUI for no reason and in horribly illogical ways. I still use XP and Office 2003 at work, and find myself often frustrated when supporting a user on Windows 7 and Office 2010 (or worse, Vista), because the changes are so arbitrary.

Just making sure that Apple didn't sneak in another form of security.
OMG:eek: The holy white iphone! It can never be JB.
Just kidding. There's no difference between the white and black. Just check the firmware. Damn it.

I post the same think, in spanish forums, but spanish people don't like apple in command key :mad::mad: why??
I think the apple icon on the keyboard is a hallmark.
I was born with that key (apple comand) and now when I see it is not feel like I'm missing something
I'm from spain barcelona but I do not feel identified with the Spanish mac users :(

i've always wondered why someone doesn't put a small cam in a plugin module, similar in size to a USB cable dock connector. the cam would be facing forward of course, have a light for additional illumination and would be able to communicate with software on the iPhone to do video chatting.
Never going to happened. Apple wont allow such device to work with iphone. As a mirror attachment thing; bulky and will be looking really silly so not going to happened neither.
For me fring is good indication that Apple might be planning to implement ichat AV with front camera in june/july iphone. That what I hope for anyway...really badly:rolleyes:

I had 2 big black blocks in mine, and mine was a Delphi. :p
leave that ****** 6200 out and keep the 7800GT <--- GREAT card :)
I am not too sure about the light, so good luck with that, also your temps are nice and close together showing that the LCS is working great. :D
cheers and have fun, makes me wish i had hung onto my old Quad :);)
But the 7800GT is one loud card!! I am so used to my silent cards in my 2010 mac pro. What video card can you recommend for me that is super quiet for my G5? Oh, the LCS with the 2 black boxes I believe is the later and reliable LCS for the G5, in addition to the panasonic.
As for the yellow trickle light, I am still baffled as to why this won't come on.. My guess it had to do with the original owner replacing the faulty power supply unit with the new one from Apple.
As I said, other than the noisy 7800 GT, everything is working great! Even got my 24 inch LED Cinema display working w/ my G5 thanks to Kanex's MDP-DVI adapter.
