Anyone care to update this one?
I waited yesterday morning, I was around #70 in line. But it was only 64GB Verizon left when it was my turn.

In settings you can set it so it never goes to sleep. However, that eats up a lot of battery. Do you have it plugged in at night?

I wanted a white outer case to match my white back glass plate for the longest but didn't want to buy a bumper and the white griffin reveal rubber would of taken on dirt like crazy for me. So I was looking around for the next best alternative. I originally wanted to get the Ultra Slider from SGP but it had wayyy too many issues, and now this looks like a revised version with a different name. Overall, the SGP Linear is a good case. It feels really solid. The cutouts are very precise as well. You CAN use any screen protector as the case doesn't cover the front glass but does have a tiny lip so you can rest it upside down. The few negatives that I see is watermarking, the cut from the bottom and top pieces don't seem to be that straight or lines up properly and lastly the plastic sides are very slippery to grip. I had a hard time griping it at first. It kept slipping out of my hands. This case also does add some weight too. Anyways, I think for 24.99 its a good buy. You can buy it on their main site (charges tax for CA, and shipping) or you can buy it on Amazon or eBay (free shipping, no tax for both places).
Onto the pics! feel free to ask any questions.

I'm fairly certain it would still be "illegal." However, if your intent is to support the artist, then it seems it would be fair.

I sold a Mac 128k with an image writer, no software or anything with it, for about $400 two years ago if that gives you a range.

It loads for me... But it takes a good 30 seconds or so.
I don't understand why it's so slow, because the quicktime movies download quite quickly.

I had the same issue regarding vpc image size. The vpc image does not decrease in size even after you delete files or uninstall programs. The vpc image only grows in size it does not dynamically get smaller.
You will need to manually reduce the size of the vpc image with this procedure:
This procedure is for Windows 95, 98, NT 4, and 2000 guest operating systems.
Be sure to backup any important data before beginning procedure, as this directly changes the guest image contents.
1. Defragment the guest OS hard drive.
2. Backup any critical data in the guest OS.
3. Download Eraser, (http://www.tolvanen.com/eraser/) and install it in the guest OS.
4. Run Eraser in the guest OS.
5. Select Edit->Preferences->Erasing
6. Select "Unused Disk Space"
7. Select "New"
8. Enter the description "Blank"
9. Select Add
10. Create a 3-byte pattern of zeros. On the "Custom Method Editor" window, near the bottom you'll see "Pattern" and underneath that, will be "Byte 1" (with 8 zeros), then "Byte 2" with a checkbox by it, and a greyed out "Byte 3". When you check the "Byte 2" box, the "Byte 3" will no longer be greyed out and you can then check it, thus creating a 3 byte pattern of zeros.
11. Hit Save
12. Select "Blank" under "Unused disk space"
13. Hit Ok
14. Select File->New Task
15. Select "Unused space on drive"
16. Select Local Hard Drives
17. Hit OK
18. Select Task->run on the previously created task
19. When finished, close the report
20. Exit Eraser and shutdown the guest PC. Make sure the guest is not in a saved state.
21. Use Virtual Disk Assistant on the Mac to reclaim lost space. Pressing "command+d" will start Virtual Disk Assistant.
22. Select Examine or modify existing disk image, and click the right arrow to continue.
23. Click Select Disk and browse to the location of the disk image to compact. Generally, this will be the Virtual PC 4 folder.
24. Double-click the disk image and click the right arrow to continue.
25. Select Reclaim zeroed drive space and click the right arrow to continue.
26. Click Reclaim Space.
Hope this helps.

Hi,
I have a Airport Extreme Base station connected to an ADSL modem. This is set up and seems to be working fine. I also have an Airport Express to go in between the base station and my computer to extend the range as my computer reads about 30%. However, despite appearing to be working (green light is on on both devices) there is no change in signal strength.
I set up the base station to create a wireless network, and set the express to join existing network, then extend the range, all with Airport Utility. I have moved the express to different plug sockets at varying distances between the computer and the base station but to no effect. My computer can just about connect to the internet but my PS3 which has a lower reception (about 20%) can't get online. I moved the PS3 next to the base station router to check it wasn't a PS3 issue and it worked fine but this is not a long term solution for me.
So the only problem is why laptop/PS3 seem to still be connecting to the base station which is further away, rather than the express? I saw something about WDS mode, which while I know what it stands for, I don't understand how this is different to what I have set up already.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Buy one now seriously. If you play the waiting game, you'll never buy one because they're always something, bigger, faster, better around the corner. The iBooks are great right now for the price.

That is odd. I've been using mine for a week or so and not being too cautious about where I carry it... No scratches or scuffs at all.

Oh yeah, I completely forgot about that. Now I'm wondering the same thing.
Anybody know?
I think it was Final Cut user group...Anyway, Apple was supposed to have some 'special announcement' for that user group. People were speculating it would either be new Mac Pro's (obviously they did that before Mac World) and after the Mac Pro announcement they were speculating new Apple displays. Obviously that didn't happen - so what WAS the special announcement?
There never was to be any special announcement. "Tickler" publicity for the event intimated a special announcement which MacRumors and other sites considered to be a real, genuine rumor.

Yea, you should notice a pretty big increase in performance if you go from the x1900 to the 5770. Almost double the performance if not more I think.

Hi guys,
Been a regular reader of the site for ages, just never actually registered! Anyway...
I took delivery of my Dual 867 G4 last week, with 768 RAM, and the ATI Radeon 9000 to order.
Everything flies - games etc. in OS 9 (Quake/Unreal Tournament) are stunning - speed in 9 is blistering, and overall speed in 10 is excellent, which means I now use 10 as my primary OS.
But there's one seemingly glaring problem - when I do anything in the finder (I'm using the word "finder" as in the OS-9 understanding of it - sorry!), even when I first start up, with no progs running, and I drag a window around or something, the window movement is "jagged" - it kind of glitches approx. every second. This happens with window drags, dock scrolling with magnification on, doing the selection box around files on the desktop, dragging HD icons around on the desktop - almost everything, including sometimes minimizing using the genie effect. Dragging web-browser windows, itunes, and every other app's windows also does the same. Also (not really important) - when the apps I'm loading bounce in the dock as they're opening, sometimes the bouncing animation glitches too. But strangely, scrolls in programs such as Photoshop and other graphically-intensive apps are as smooth as anything. As are screensavers (and games) that are accessing the card using OpenGL etc. It only seems to be standard finder/desktop stuff. Video/DVD playback is also fine.
The most annoying thing is, I was installing 10.2 on a new 700mhz iMac we got in at my work today - and, even though it only had 256 in it, and the 32mb Geforce4 instead of the 64mb 9000 I have, the window drags and EVERYTHING I've mentioned, were as smooth as anything - albeit my machine is faster and more continuous, with less "submarining" as the windows drag etc - more instantaneous - but, the iMac (and 2 other dual 867s with the Geforce4 in them and less RAM I've tested) was smooth - resulting in a system that felt more responsive - even though speed was probably faster on mine, but doesn't feel it because of the glitching.
Has anyone any ideas to help me with this please? Is it maybe a driver compatibility problem of some sort, and I should just wait for an update to 10.2 and/or the ATI radeon 9000 drivers?
Please help!
Thanks in anticipation,
Mark

Since the 2nd computer is the admin, that user will be able to look at the logs on the TC. Pretty much every router keeps a log of the URLs accessed by each computer.
So the admin will pretty much be able to see which websites you've visited. Plus the logs are timestamped.

Awesome. So she will be able to see my posts in this forum then? Haha. Dang, oh well. Thank you to everyone for the info and help! Great forum here.
