I know you probably don't want to hear this but that limit is there for a reason. In a few years you'll be thankful it was limited. I listen to my iPod (limited EU) at half volume. I'll never know why someone needs full volume (again, limited). You'll just destroy your hearing and need a hearing aid when older.
Unless of course you need the volume because you are already deaf from listening to too much loud music. I have a buddy who at 30 might need a hearing aid from not protecting his ears when he was younger.

A Mac Mini could easily run as an HTPC, webserver and fileserver at the same time depending on client traffic. If its just your notebook then no sweat at all.

iPad with custom Gelaskins and a sleeve from M-Edge. I also share my wireless keyboard from my iMac, also seen in the pic.
The sleeve is the Page sleeve for the Kindle DX. I got it on clearance for $17.50 and it works beautifully.

putting the tape on the iphone instead will completely stop the type of friction you're trying to prevent.
but to use a bit of sense, plastic is infinitely softer than the steel used in the band; at most it will only polish the steel to a minor degree, smoothing the matte surface of the steel. if the plastic is able to do this, so will the tape (and the increased tension will only exacerbate this effect). however, most of the scratching occurs from foreign material getting caught in between. this being the case, the adhesive at the edge of the tape will only increase the chances of this happening.
reversing the tape as suggested or simply cleaning the band occasionally is your best bet.

Use a privacy screen protector if you really need one, because they lower the image quality like if you stacked 3 matte shields on the screen.

I needed to re install OS X the other day...
Now that I have, I have a strange thing going on.....occasionally....
If i leave my machine for a while & come back, wherever I drag my cursor with the mouse, it jumps/skips instantaneously to the far top right corner.
Just the mouse, the cursor control with my Wacom pen is fine...
It's an optical mouse, clean, and there's nothing set in system preferences..
Any suggestions?

If the data is static the it should be in your applications resources (and you use the standard NSBundle methods). If it's not static then it should be in your applications sandboxed document area (and you'll have to find some way of getting it there so a copy will probably have to start in your applications resources) and you use the well documented method to get the documents folder (NSSearchPathForDirectoriesInDomains)
This is basically all covered in the ISO Application Programming Guide (http://developer.apple.com/library/ios/#documentation/iphone/conceptual/iphoneosprogrammingguide/Introduction/Introduction.html%23//apple_ref/doc/uid/TP40007072-CH1-SW1) that all iOS developers should have read and understood all of before starting to think about any application.
Edit to add:this is 100% absolutely nothing to do with XCode which is just an IDE and everything to do with the API (Cocoa Touch) and the runtime (iOS).

No. The newer pumps were used May-August.
Ok, looking at my Quad.. it seems I do have the newer pump :) It is a panasonic.. can barely make out the name, but the name starts with a P.. Sorry, I made a mistake.. the Quad I have according to the person who owned it told me he got it in June of 2006.

It may be a member site and not a site for consumers. I don't know, it is sparse but there is a link for logging in, so that leads me to believe its for franchisees or something.

I thought CCC could only copy to networks shares *hosted on a mac*, not NAS, but I could be wrong.
Chronosync will backup to networks shares, I use it to sync a local FW800 drive to a QNAP NAS, and it works nicely...
You seem to want to do similar but the other way around... I think it should work for that too.

What did you guys think of the demo?
I had planned to buy this game, but I crossed it off my shopping list after playing the demo. It just doesn't seem to bring ANYTHING new to the table to justify spending money on this. The setting may be somewhat unique, but gameplay-wise EVERYTHING (open world, driving, combat, cover-based shooting...) has been done before, and better. It does look nice, and the car physics are pretty good. But the entire time I just couldn't shake that "been there, done that" feeling... :(

In the vast majority of tasks altivec is not going to make up for 500mhz. Though, make note of the fact that the G3 had a very week FPU, and at 1ghz would properly perform like a 500mhz G4 for media tasks. But I doubt much slower. So the G3 is really a better deal, in some things it will be sigificantly faster because the G3 did have a strong ALU.
