I am the student. The bloke i am doing this for wants to be able to make his own cards on his own Mac. The guy just wants a simple program and after watching a demonstration on youtube i dont think it is for him! i have found only one other program which is much the same. I have recently just found a decent windows program so i may suggest this to him (no offence!)

Has this been independently verified? Sounds like a bug to me. I have the same performance on both ports of my MBP.

I have 2 of these for sale right now. ONE is brand new and the other has been used for 6months now. The used one is in excellent condition and no dead pixels on either of them. I opened up the new one to test for dead pixels as well and it didn't have any either. Both are in excellent shape.
$400 for the used one
$450 for the brand new one

Sorry, but I really, really hate Now Up to Date and Contact.
Crash prone, poor tech support, and a file structure that guaranteed that you lost the connection between contacts and appointments if you had to recover or export a file. That was my bitter experience with versions 2.x - 4.x

Looking for an Illustrator plugin (CS5 compatible) that's similar to HotDoors Cad Tools.
Actually I'm only interested in one that's capable of "measuring" an object and places the dimensions next to each measured side/segment/radius, etc. I really don't care for all the other wonderful features of Cad Tools at the time.
I have to do a lot of these for some die cut specs and it's very time consuming to do it manually (draw the arrows, etc.)...and Cad Tools update for CS5 is very expensive.
Any suggestions.
TIA

Hi! I was using my MBA in clamshell mode when I was having the problem, but I decided to try it again, and now it seems to be fine. Huh. I wonder what the earlier problem was. Perhaps there was some kind of background process going on that I was unaware of.

Did you try changing the setting in displays from or to 720 or 1020, if the Mini is sending a single at 1020 and the tv only supports 720 this could be the cause of the problem. If not reset the SMC (System Management Controller)? To do this unplug the Mac and hold down the power button for 5 sec. More info: (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964).
If you can try this:
1. Connect to just the TV via HDMI and see if you get an immage
2. Connect to your HP display using an HDMI to DVI cable if available
3. Boot from OS X CD (when connected to TV through the HDMI port), if issue resolves it is a software problem
4. If nether of those work you will need to take it to an AASP, according to to service manual for that mini it could be eater the RAM or mother board that could be the issue, RAM could be tested if you had another computer with compatible RAM to swap with it

Okay I have an idea for a site where a user can type a word in a simple text box, hit submit, and the word is placed in a database (supposedly MySQL). Each time the word is submitted it's value will go up by 1, it is supposed to count how many times it's submitted. It should also contain information on when it was last submitted.
After that I need an RSS feed to update to show the words in order of how many times its been submitted and another to show them in the order of last submitted.
I have basic (VERY BASIC) skills with PHP and not much(except using PHPmyAdmin and installing Wordpress). How hard do you reckon this is and can you please help me to get this working?
your problem is making with work with type pad. what you asking if fairly easy by itself, but integration would be hard for you.

OS X has a utility called grab.
I don't believe grab has a built-in studio for editing the images you capture, etc. does it?
I think Snapz or something like that exists for the Mac and sounds like it can do alot of stuff like SnagIt.
SnagIt does rock :)

Looks like mouse multi-touch is going to be a significant part of Mac OS 10.7. Does anyone know of any third-party Mac compatible mouse that will handle these commands?

And about 85th in line arriving at 11:30. At least another 8 behind me now.
Arriving late is a no go I think for getting one today

I walked into the Covent Garden Apple Store about two weeks ago and they had many iPads in stock, where as Regent Street had none. Just phone any local shops and ask before you go.
(PS The iPad 2s are amazing... enjoy it when you get it!)

I'm not sure, Churchill itself opens at 9 AM (http://www.churchillsquare.com/) in the morning on Friday, but I've been told that for opening of Apple Store last summer doors were open at least at 7 AM. Maybe this will be the case as well or maybe people would have to queue outside.

Price. I remember drooling over the Tibooks and other wicked fast computers years ago. Now, I can actually afford to buy them and give em a shot. My 12" Powerbook for example is a computer I use every day. Its still plenty new enough to run modern software and costs far less than a 13" Macbook or an Air. For older PPC and 68k systems, its pure nostalgia. Its fun to go back and use older software and OS versions. If you didn't ever use use that stuff back when it was current, then you probably don't see the point.

Hi All,
I bought an IPhone 4 from craigslist 2 weeks back. The guy seemed legitimate and I check the warranty for the IMEI of the phone and the apple website (https://selfsolve.apple.com/GetWarranty.do) told me that it has an extended warranty till 2012. So the deal was done, and I took it home.
Now, just out of curiosity, I check the warranty again for the same phone and was shocked to see the below result
"We're sorry, but this is a serial number for a product that has been replaced. Please check your information and re-enter your serial number. If your information is correct, you may need to contact us."
Did the guy reported the phone stolen to Apple after he sold it to me? If that is the case, what can I do?
Thanks in advance for you help.

No. The newer pumps were used May-August.
Ok, looking at my Quad.. it seems I do have the newer pump :) It is a panasonic.. can barely make out the name, but the name starts with a P.. Sorry, I made a mistake.. the Quad I have according to the person who owned it told me he got it in June of 2006.

Don't think too much into it. You won't be disappointed when you're wrong...
No iPod cameras.
No Air updates.
No MacBook/Pro until Montevina
I'd like Cinema Displays with iSight and HDCP, but...

Uh, no way of telling manufacturer of hd unless you go to MORE INFO on ABOUT THIS MAC menu and click on ata devices and then it will tell you.
There is no stock hd in pbs or ibooks or any Apple -- either they come oem with Hitachi, Toshiba or Fujistu from my experience.
The 12" pb shipped in Jan with a stock 60gig 5400rpm hd and you would have to do your homework on a specific machine to determine manufactuer.
