Hi, I know this is not the place for this, but ive tried every other computer site on the net, this is the only one left.
Ok, ok. I own a windows computer. I bought a imac G3 to replace it. as soon as i get the mac working, i notice my PC is acting a little crazy. So i turn it off and on again. Normaly, the fan spins for about 15 seconeds, and then it boots. This time, the fan STAYS on and there is no video wahtsoever. It's been 3 days, and Im desprate to get all my music off of it and onto my mac, but nothing's working.
Like I said, this is the wrong place. but i was hoping one of u guys used a windows comp once or twice

Hi! I was using my MBA in clamshell mode when I was having the problem, but I decided to try it again, and now it seems to be fine. Huh. I wonder what the earlier problem was. Perhaps there was some kind of background process going on that I was unaware of.
Well, at least the problem is gone. ;)

My girlfriends computer crashed so she lost all her music but luckily it is all still on her old iPod Video 30gb (not sure what generation it is, it is the first one that plays videos)..
Anyway, when i try to take the music off her iPod, it auto ejects. I have tried 3 different methods:
I tried using a tool called iPod Access: it auto ejected
I tried using a tool called expod: it auto ejected
I tried unhiding the music folders on it and just copying those over: it auto ejected.
The ipod itself works fine. No problems at all. I just cannot, for the life of me, find out what is happening..
Can anybody at all help me?
*Edit: i forgot to mention that i am using a mac (specs in sig)

Things have been a bit sluggish on the front page today due to high traffic, so you may have noticed a brief outage or two.

Why were you trying to install MySQL?
All Macs ship with MySQL already installed.
BTW, you also get Apache and PhP.
Not all Macs ship with MySQL. My Mac certainly didn't.

I'm debating either Main Place Naperville or Woodfield Mall. I haven't been to the Naperville store. Looking at the pics on Google Maps, is parking gonna be a problem?

Glass is made from silicon - and I saw the article and you need to send yourself a link via email and post that one, the link you gave it for your own login.
Its interesting, but until they actually deliver it, well, its a wait and see item.

Personally i'd run 2 partitions on the 7200, one for other files and one for the scratch disk, just my thoughts :)

Screenshots of your export settings and current settings would help. You need to give us information. We can't see your screen :confused:

Hey guys,
I am giving away my iPad2 and would like to know how I must disable FaceTime associated wit this particular device and my e-mail. Is it enough to disable FaceTime from the app itself or do I need to disassociate this iPad with my e-mail?
In a couple of weeks, I will be buying a new iPad2 that I would like to use with my old e-mail, which is now associated with my e-mail. Maybe it is that simple that when I buy a new iPad2 and enter the same e-mail address, I will again get an e-mail message to verify it and everything will work again on a new device.
Do you have any thoughts on this?

Looks like a search engine for pirated movies?
Which bit do you want to know about the legality of?
Yes, legality of the pirated movies. That's what I thought that was. I've just never seen something move that quick before. I had read about this in the newspapers before, but I didn't know what it looked like. this was the only place I could think of in the search I did to ask. Thank you.

Hey Guys,
So i finally took the plunge the other night, and ordered my mac pro online. plus I ordered an OCZ vertex 2 60GB drive (as thats all budget would allow after the MP)
No obviously the SSD is to be the boot drive, but heres the thing, i will be putting in a further 500GB and 250GB drives, its for music production.
BUT
Firstly, as its only a small SSD i obviously want to keep it as minimal as possible, so its gonna be OSX and logic... i see talk of user folders and such... could some one explain this to me, how full its likely to get and also how important it would be to keep them together?
and as part two of that question, what is the absolute bare minimal i can put on to the ssd, as far as OSX goes, and importantly logic, (im assuming that logic and plugins need to be on ssd)
And the next question.
I would like to keep a copy of the ssd on the 250GB which is only to be used as a scrap drive anyway. so what would be the best way of doing that? partitioning 60GB and 190GB, and using the 60GB as the place to superduper! copy the ssd to every so often.
And as the second part to that question, can i have it set up so that if the ssd was to fail, it would auto boot from the back up?
I realise this is abit long. but any help help would be amazing guys.

kernel panic?
do you have any extra ram in the ibook? if so you should try switching it out, as it may have gone bad.

Did you follow the step by step support at USB Overdrive (http://www.usboverdrive.com/USBOverdrive/Step.html)?
You can disable the USB Overdrive drivers for specific devices and they will revert to the Apple default drivers.
Also try uninstalling and reinstalling.
Uninstalling the USB Overdrive
To uninstall the USB Overdrive, use the Uninstall USB Overdrive application that's located in the Utilities folder inside your Applications folder. If you deleted the uninstaller by mistake, you can reinstall the USB Overdrive (even if it's already installed) and then remove everything with the Uninstall application

Perhaps you could create the text you want, turn it into a shape (a path outlining the letters), and then paste a photo of the yarn into that shape.

Fat finger typo...the iPad is on 4.3.1. I came across Airview but looks like Apple pulled it.

I am sure it has been covered before, I apologize. I was jailbroken on 4.0
tried to update to 4.3.1 to re-jailbreak and it won't update. 1611 error. I have tried all the tricks I could find on the internet, still nothing,
I have an app this morning at the genius bar, will they ask or know if it was JB before? I figure if they can't get it to work, they won't know that it was JB and if they can get it to work who cares, I keep it anyway.
will they ask, does it matter?
I read a post saying that some firmware updates will brick some phones, just happens. Any truth to that?
thanks
