I can't figure out what the current avatar is doing. Biting something? Spitting something out? And what is it?
It's fascinating to watch though.
I thought it was him chewing on an iPod, hahaha, I love it...:)

Had the Pinlo Bladedge and I'd say the front and back screen protectors were top notch..
No bubbles and clarity was excellent.. In fact, I reckon its cut fits the home button and earpiece notch more precisely than PS crystal..

Hey all!
I am having a hard time avoiding the big bloated, slow monstrosity that is Xcode. I've even tried Xcode, but I disliked the UI and I would like to try an alternative that is simpler and much lighter.
Ideally, I'd prefer the IDE and the compiler to be cross-platform. It's strange coming from GNU/Linux to Mac OS X and it's one-way attitude.
Anyway, thanks in advance!

I've tried all of them as well, and they're all slow, buggy and/or unstable.
I tried connecting the PS3 and Mac server via Ethernet, and was surprised just how slow the media browsing was even then.
The best experience I've had was with Rivet - streams to 360, PS3 and iOS devices; except the latest version crashes for me so I'm back to looking for a reliable option again. :o

Right, but not eveyone likes command line to FTP. It's very visually easy.
I meant is was a "big kinda" because it is not really FTP via Safari, but rather FTP via finder.

Well first, do you have a wireless connection for your internet?
If you do, then go to Setting ->Wi-Fi -> then find your wireless and connect there.

Hi,
I am about to submit an application to Mac App Store. My client wants the settings to reside in "System Preferences". Is this allowed in Mac App Store?
If it is allowed, then the system preferences settings is a bundle. How can I make sure that when the application is first run, this bundle will be run? Also, how do I include this in the source code i send to apple?
Thanks.

Wow.. I had never noticed this. Turning off local snapshots doubled my available space. Thanks so much for letting me know!
Bug? I would say it is the local backup that's new to 10.7 and set to on by default (System Preference > Time Mashine > Options > Local backup).

Thanks for the answers, guys.
Believe me, Apple is not going to commit credit card fraud. Not really worried about fraud or anything; I just thought there might be a charge other than tax.

Please HELP! I have been racking my brain about this for way too long. I am trying to set a default location and it's giving me an error saying...
File "MEDIA:iMovie Projects:" wasn't found
And the folder is definitely there. Have tried with and without using "as alias"
Without "as alias" it tells me
Can't make "MEDIA:iMovie Projects:" into type alias
Here is my code.
set project to choose file with prompt "Locate the PROJECTS file path and click OK" default location "MEDIA:iMovie Projects"

Unless you have already mastered Xcode 3, it's not worth the $5 or $100 to switch to Xcode 4 at this time.
Most resources that can help you learn will be Xcode 3 based for a while now and you will have a hard time following along if you switch now.
What you have will work fine.

I have noticed that on my 1st gen iPad, in then past week or so, when clicking on a YouTube link while in Safari, after opening YouTube and watching part of the video, then clicking the Home button and relaunching Safari, I will get a crash. Specifically, on relaunching Safari, the most recent page is brought up, but only a blank page. When I hit the button to open all pages, only the top 1 inch displays (the bottom of the screen is white). Then Safari cranes and the home iOS screen opens. Then I launch Safari, usually with no problem.
Anyone else? Known problem? Running latest iOS version.

Okay, this might have been posted somewhere on here already but I'm taking the chance and posting it anyway. In the first shot of the Ipod Nano 5G commercial (titled "New iPod Nano Commercial" on YouTube) the guy in red is wearing the Ipod Nano 6G Wrist Watch a whole year before the ipod nano 6G touch comes out. It is in plain sight coming right towards the camera as if Apple is flaunting it at us. This was definitely done on purpose. Apple is very sneaky in releasing this but also very creative and makes me wonder what they are putting in their current commercials. Probably nothing but just a thought.

I guess I really mostly need file sharing over the internet to other computers, phones, etc, so I really just need the Mac Mini to broadcast what's on it to the internet in a safe and protected way. The Wiki Server is a huge plus, as are the iCal and Address Book Servers, to allow my wife and I to avoid work-arounds in sharing our calendar and contacts, notes, etc. So it sounds like I could probably get along with Lion Server and adding a 3TB or more external HD to my Mini, as long as these features are being added to the regular release of Lion without having to shell out the big bucks for the separate Lion Server (which it sounds like Apple is doing).

Busted woofer surrounds sound like cracking and flapping on loud bass. Blown tweeters just don't work and make the speaker sound muddy. I'm not sure what hissing is. Could be an amp issue. Try switching speakers to see if the problem moves with the suspected bad one.
THIS. cross check to isolate the issue to the spaker or amp. it could be that u badly damaged the amp section for that particular speaker out on your receiver. This is rather unusual because most modern receivers have a protection mode that limits wattage in order stop overdriving. but such safeguards can only do so much; if it was being driven for hours, it could have easily been damaged.
