Sorry for my false answer than...
When I installed Windows 7 64-bit and wanted to install Bootcamp drivers, bootcamp said that its software wasn't compatible with Windows 7 64-bit. So I concluded that Bootcamp was unsuitable to install the drivers correctly in 64-bit.
My bad, sorry.

After losing another bid on eBay, is there anywhere reliable in the UK to pick up a classic Mac, Colour Classic or SE/30 preferably (obviously not eBay) any advice tips would be much appreciated
M
eBay is your only choice pretty much. There isnt, at least not as far as Ive found in 5 years of searching, a reliable dealer in the older Macs in the UK. The reason is those machines are now very rare, so finding a stable supply of them is just about impossible - the eBay price is the going rate (100 - 250quid per machine, sometimes a lot higher than that if it has the box/manuals etc).

Hi all-
I'm attempting to reformat an external drive that was once in my old Windows machine- I have no problem reading file on the drive, but it as marked as read-only and will not let me write/delete. I would love to reformat this drive at some point and find a better use for it, and any advice on how to fix it would be wonderful. Thanks!

I plan on picking on up pretty soon. I just didn't want it to be updated right after I buy the current model. I plan on using this monitor for awhile.

Yeah, I did that, and it had already been unchecked. They're still not working even with that unchecked.

Yes I have done all updating and everything necessary. I'm going to try some custom video card drivers later. I tried 2 separate TVs, and 2 HDMI wires, nothing.
Which adapter are you using?

You might get more comments in the MacBook forum. This is the desktop Mac Pro forum.

What you want is a book on unix shell programming. The oreilly book "Learning the bash Shell" is decent.
When you run terminal you get a unix shell. Most likely the shell you're running in is called the bash shell. It might also be called sh, but the two are similar.
Open up a terminal and type the command:
ps
The right column in the output will tell you what shell you're running. That's the subject you want to learn about.

That's a signature. Just go to the upper left corner and click User CP and then scroll down on the left to Edit Signature.

I like it. I reckon it'd be nice if you flashed one frame of the entire 'tar, with all the Apple boxes. :)

You're right I feel kind of sorry for the many people I have seen online who have installed the beta straight over the top of Snow Leopard and lost everything...

It's easier for an illustrator to use a handy screen image to paste in, than to take the time to find a real one for that phone.

Kind of like the way people in this thread didn't take the time or effort to fix their own post goofups.
